Frequently Asked Questions

“Who are you?”
We are Regal Empress Cruise Vacations www.recvcruise.com , and we are part of a family of company’s that owns and operates a successful Cruise Line, along with quality hotel resort properties in the South Florida and Orlando areas.  Our Regal Empress is a 450 cabin cruise ship that offers two night cruises to Nassau from Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) in South Florida. Our ship sailed more people out of Port Everglades last year than any other cruise line, and it provides a nice alternative to lengthy cruises aboard the mega-ships.

“Why are you doing this?”
Good question.  Frankly, advertising costs are a big part of everyone’s budget.  We are just choosing to put our budget into free cabins!  This promotion will help us fill cabins that would have otherwise sailed empty, and we believe that by giving out cabins to new cruise travelers like you is a better use of our marketing dollars than to advertise our ship on television or in magazines.  Plus, travelers provide us with on-board revenue from those passengers that like to gamble (we have a great casino) or party in our clubs on board (we make great Pina Coladas).  And best of all, we have some great extended stay packages we will make available to you if you want to lengthen your stay and play in sunny Ft. Lauderdale and magical Orlando, Florida!  And with our first class service, along with our fantastic entertainment and dining on board the ship, we believe that you’ll come back again and again.  Plus the word-of-mouth advertising doesn’t hurt either… So that’s why we are willing to do this.

“Once I register, what will happen next?”
You will be contacted by a Regal Empress Travel Agent over the next few days to discuss your cruise itinerary and answer any questions you may have about your vacation package, along with any other discount travel benefits available at the time of your travel. Additionally, you will be printing your Reservation fulfillment letter from this website once you register, which you may send in at any time to book your cruise over the next 12 months.

“Can you call me?”
We will be calling you once you register.  The reason we send you to a website to register is to simply reduce our expenses and pass the savings on to you.  If we were to staff full time to simply answer questions, we would increase our overhead dramatically, and then that cost would have to be passed on to you.  Don’t worry about any questions you have that aren’t answered in this question and answer forum, we will be able to answer all of them to your satisfaction after you register and one of our friendly and helpful agents speaks with you.  If not, simply ask the agent for a credit!  By using your bank credit card, you are protected.  And this is a secure site, so you can use your card with confidence.  We will offer a full refund of your registration fee for a full 30 days to any person that doesn’t want to take advantage of this offer.

“What are the total actual port charges and government taxes due at the time of booking?
The government requires a total of $59 per person for each traveler aboard the ship.  That is all you are responsible for when you make your dates to travel.

“What if I live to far away to take just a 2 night cruise?”
Our family of companies also own hotels in the Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando areas that they will offer you great discounts on to make this such an irresistible vacation that you can’t afford not to take advantage of this deal!  Honestly, we are asking so little at the time of registration that you really have nothing to lose.  I’m sure you have always wanted to come to Florida, and there is no better way to spend a vacation than by relaxing on a cruise ship with your every desire satisfied.   Keep in mind, once you register you will be contacted by one of our travel agents and they’ll give you all the opportunities to make this into a very affordable and fun package worth traveling to Florida for.

“Do I have to register now to take the cruise?”
No, you can call our Cruise Line directly and pay full fare when you are ready to book your travel.  However, if you wish to take advantage of this incredible complimentary cruise offer you must book now - or this offer will expire and you will only be able to book at full fare – and you have 12 months to use it.  Let’s be honest, for less than the price of a nice lunch, we’re offering you 2 days and nights on a floating city traveling the Caribbean seas with all your delicious meals and fantastic entertainment included.  What’s there to think about?  Worst case scenario, you give this package as a gift to a family or friend because you can’t travel in the next year (how many five hundred dollar gifts have you given away lately for less than twenty bucks!)

“What will it cost me to add additional guests to my cabin?”
It depends on the age of the guest.  Children 12 and under are $99 per person and persons age 13 and above are $129 per person.  This price includes your port and service fees.  There is a maximum of 4 persons to a cabin, and families larger than that can request some discounted rates on an additional cabin but you would need to speak with a cruise agent to determine the best way to book.
